New UFO Hotspot Map Reveals Top US States for Alien Sightings
The truth is out there, and the numbers show exactly where.
Fresh information from the National UFO Reporting Center has disclosed precisely where you are most likely to spot a flying saucer in the sky.
The examination looked into 149,000 sighting records from the Reporting Center’s database as well as social media accounts to ascertain the number of experiences per person across different states.
Coming in first, Californians have recorded a staggering 36,286 reported UFO sightings since 1974.
This makes it officially America's alien hotspot with one sighting for every 1,075 residents.
California's crisp nighttime sky combined with its high population density has resulted in ideal circumstances for frequent UFO observations.
In fact, just last month, the harrowing call a US Air Force pilot made to air traffic control was released after they described 'three orange-like lights' hovering silently above Los Angeles.
The unidentified object approached within 10 feet of the pilot's wing, achieving supersonic speed, as the U.S. Air Force aircraft carried out a covert operation overhead. California .

The pilot, who identified as 'Troy 21,' told local air traffic control (ATC) in Los Angeles : 'This is going to sound weird, but I just had something pass underneath my wing, maybe a football-sized object right underneath my wing.'
During the September 17, 2024, incident, ATC can be heard asking Troy 21 if he thought it was a drone, but the stunned pilot couldn't give an answer.
Troy 21 responded that his sensor operator was searching for the UFO using the aircraft’s cameras, mentioning that it appeared as a 'dark gray cylindrical object,' not larger than a football.
The pilot swiftly notified Air Traffic Control that they had sighted the UFO approximately 60 miles away from the point where it initially flew close to Troy 21's aircraft.
Further along in the recording, an additional air traffic controller from Los Angeles can be heard over the radio downplaying the event, stating that 'a UFO was reportedly spotted here, but everything concerning it has been resolved now. There’s no need for concern... it has disappeared.'
Former FBI Agent Ben Hansen informed NewsNation that the enigmatic object likely had to travel at Mach 2, which is double the speed of sound, to cover such a great distance so rapidly.
The state with the second-highest number of reported sightings of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) was Washington.
The Pacific Northwest has consistently drawn individuals intrigued by the mysterious, with Washington logging 7,125 reports of unidentified flying objects.

That's roughly one for every 1,093 people.
Between 1948 and 1952, when America's manufacturing of nuclear arms began to increase initially, waves of UFO sightings started appearing around Washington state's Hanford nuclear production facility, along with Los Alamos in New Mexico and various locations involved in the Manhattan Project.
At the same time, Florida held the third position with over 11,000 documented interactions.
That's approximately one sighting for every 1,144 people in Florida.
Just last December, a flight attendant working over the Florida coastline succeeded in capturing a enigmatic round entity soaring over the aircraft She was working at an altitude of thousands of feet over the Bahamas.
On December 23, Cassandra Martin, who works as a flight attendant for the private airline Surjet, was aboard an empty aircraft with two pilots when Miami’s air traffic control informed them of a 'foreign object' while they were returning to Fort Lauderdale.
The eerie footage showed a rounded blur of white light that faded into a green color, with a circular halo surrounding the object.
In the fourth place is Oregon, with one reported UFO sighting for every 1,156 residents.

Like the recent event in California, several pilots have come forward with reports. noticing strange luminous objects zipping across the heavens over Oregon in December.
An air ambulance pilot reported witnessing a brilliant beam of light rushing towards his aircraft and then suddenly changing direction, moving away from them and back out over the Pacific Ocean on the night of December 7th.
'Colored red — traveling at incredibly high velocities. I’m not sure how else to convey just how quick it was moving,' the pilot reported to the air-traffic controllers.
The following evening, a United Airlines pilot similarly observed strange luminous phenomena over the Eugene region.
"We've identified three or four targets. They’re moving up and down at various altitudes. This situation seems quite chaotic," the pilot informed air traffic control, with controllers verifying that there were no military operations occurring nearby.
The pilot of the air ambulance also observed an object moving in a 'helical path' as indicated by the aircraft’s collision avoidance system.
You have clearance to make necessary maneuvers—either left or right—to steer clear of obstacles. UFO Out there," replied an air-traffic controller, as per an audio recording of the conversation.
Short video clips taken by pilots and crew showed lights in the night sky, but the dark conditions made it difficult to discern specific details.

In the meantime, New York completes the top five with one sighting for every 1,301 individuals.
In November, a A mysterious spherical object was seen. over New York City Hudson River mentioned in a news broadcast, fueling rampant conspiracy theories.
A seemingly bright object was spotted darting into the frame of the city's well-known skyline.
The footage, recorded from a helicopter, captured a quickly moving sphere of illumination beginning in Hoboken , New Jersey And then circling around towards the World Trade Center before disappearing from sight.
Specialists proposed that the 'orb' could be attributed to an optical effect caused by the helicopter glass in front of the lens or possibly an out-of-focus bird.
However, this sighting has caused some residents of New York City to wonder whether ' aliens are among us' - as it came less than a week after a Pentagon report that highlighted a a near-miss between a commercial airliner and a mysterious object alongside the shore of the city.
Harvard physicist, Avi Loeb, wrote that the enigmatic sphere was crafted by ' A gleaming point caused by the sunlight reflecting as the camera slowly adjusted its position in relation to the sun and the earth.
Loeb went on to clarify that if the sphere were indeed a physical entity, it would be traveling at the speed of sound—not some remarkable velocity.

People looking to steer clear of alien sightings might want to stay in Louisiana, as its inhabitants have the lowest number of UFO encounters across the country, with only one reported sighting for every 3,815 individuals.
Even more secure is North Dakota, with just 282 reported sightings – roughly 0.0004 per person – rendering it statistically the state where you are least prone to experience an alien abduction or close encounter of the third kind.
